AN AGENT WHO HAS A CLIENT IN ANOTHER COUNTRY, BEWARE…

I had a car for sale and was contacted by a person who claimed to have a client in Canada who wished to purchase it. His client was in Germany visiting a sick relative and had instructed his agent to negotiate on his behalf. After we agreed upon a price I was notified that a cashier's check over the amount was being sent my way (with some lame story about a charitable organization cutting the check) and I would be expected to refund the excess. A person would contact me at a later date to pick up the car. Yeah right, after I received their phony check and sent real money their direction I would never hear from them again. Beware of this one because its common.
