DISCOUNTED GIFT CARDS

I went to an Internet sight that bought and sold gift cards at a discount where you could purchase a $50 gift card for 8% - 21% discount to popular merchants. I mailed in my order, along with my check (they didn't accept credit cards or on-line payments). I received a confirming email my order would be shipped out, along with a confirming UPSP shipping number. After 3 weeks I started to wonder as to the whereabouts of my gift cards ($473 was the amount I paid). I called my Bank, and of course the SOB cashed the check immediately. My many phone messages and emails went unanswered. Then, I noticed many other people were posting complaints on this website (there was an area customers could also sell their gift cards on), that people had paid for gift cards but never received them. The same pattern I had experienced. So I knew at that point I was probably screwed. Since then, the website no longer exists, and the phone number is temporairly unavailable. I hope this person goes to jail, and I'm glad I didn't send anymore in. Some poor souls are out thousands of dollars (one person sent in $2,600).
