I AM A FOREIGN NATIONAL WORKING IN THE US…

I am a foreign national working in the US and I received an e-mail indicating a discount for early online submission to the annual US Green Card Lottery that the US Government does every year. I proceeded to submit my contact information online as well as a photo and paid a $35 fee. I received e-mail confirmations for both my application and payment.

Afterwards I found out that the Green Card Lottery was not yet accepting applications and that it did not require a fee to submit a real application online.

It was not a lot of money but for those of you out there who receive this kind of e-mail, if you submit through a fraudulent site, you will have no application submitted for the real lottery i.e. no chance of getting a Green Card which would be a shame. These thieves steal more than money, they steal hope for both you and your family/children's future so be careful.
